Midland also has a lot of Victorian-era and early-twentieth-century housing stock, especially in the downtown core and the Center District. Older painted wood, original brick, decorative trim – these surfaces need a careful approach. You can't hit a Queen Anne gable with 3,000 PSI and expect paint to stay on. Soft wash at under 500 PSI is the right method. The cleaning solution does the work. The pressure just moves the water. That means faster mildew growth on siding, more frequent roof streaking, and concrete that stays damp enough to grow algae in the joints.
